Birds By Banding

Students learn about avifauna by participating in an on-going avian botulism and birds movement study. Classrooms are divided into small groups and assist with capture, bagging, weighing, measuring and release of endangered Hawaiian waterbirds and migratory waterfowl and shorebirds, resulting in a profound experience that has the potential to generate a life-long avocation.
